🏠 Hide and Seek
This is a deductive solitaire game designed by Wil Su, one of ten solitaire games in his Isaludo collection of which I've done webapp versions of The Emissary, Skyway and Loot the Loop.A video demonstration has been done by Board Games with Thomas.
The 12 royal cards are randomly placed face-down in the "playground" so that each of the three ranks only appears once in any column with no duplicate suits.
You can take one of these three actions each turn:
- Guess at the suit of a plaground card by moving the top card from the deck to a vacant space in the perimeter of the playground.
- Click on one of the face-down playground cards to reveal it. Any guess cards you have placed on the permiter with the same suit in the same column or row are removed and added to your score, so it's possible to get up four points for a reveal.
- Discard the top deck card by moving it to the discard pile on the top right. Then remove any guess card of the same suit by moving it from the perimiter to the discard pile.
The game ends when the last playground card is revealed. If you have managed to get at least 20 suit matches in the score pile, you win.
